Sokcho Cheoksan Footbath Park is one of the best place to visit in Sokcho, with a peaceful and serene atmosphere.


In the vicinity of Seoraksan, one of the most beautiful and famous National Parks in Gangwon-do, there is Cheoksan Hot Spring Village, where natural hot spring water springs out.

Cheoksan Foot Bath Park is a precious space created using the hot spring water of this Cheoksan Hot Spring Village.


​​It is located at the foot of Seoraksan Mountain and can be reached in about 10 minutes by car, so there are many hikers who come to rest their tired feet after climbing or trekking in Seoraksan, as well as many tourists who come to enjoy the foot bath itself.






Since it is an eco-friendly hot spring facility operated by Sokcho City, it seems that it is possible to keep it neat and tidy even though it is operated for free.


​The surrounding scenery and water are very nice, the workers are friendly, and the prices of other services are cheap, so it is a good place to stay for a while with a light and comfortable mind.





The large foot bath in the center is the hot spring water of Cheoksan Onsen(hot water) Village.

The hot spring water gushing out at 43-53 degrees Celsius from 452 meters underground warms your feet.

It feels like the tired feet get stuck in the shoes and get soaked in the hot water.

I think it will be a wonderful reward for hikers who climbed the mountain all day.





Cheoksan Footbath Park is a fairly large place, and a waterway is created around the central bath.

You can enjoy a hot foot bath while feeling the cool breeze in the shade by making a roof with a large tent.

​The harmoniously maintained landscaping and the waterway are in harmony with the scenery at the foot of Mt. Seorak.





There is a small stand on one side. They rent towels and seats, also sell elvan eggs.

​Towels and seats can be rented for only 1,000 won, but if you bring them with you, do not have to rent them.





This place is run by Sokcho City, so that the area can be kept clean, tidy, comfortable.


It is highly recommended place to visit, or stop by, to feel the nature of the area with hot spring water footbath.
