Traditional Gangwon-do style Korean noodle made of buckwheat
Buckwheat noodle is real Korean style food, especially part of Gangwon-Do.
There shall be no doubt if someone say it is Gangwon-Do local food.
It is usually called 'Makgooksoo(막국수)' or 'Buckwheat Noodle(메밀국수)'
It is cold noodle with or without gravy.
They are usually provided in the big bowl, putting the buckwheat noodles with toppings. Toppings are chopped radish or cucumber, half cut egg, seaweed flacks, etc.
Normally 2 types of noodles are served; one is with the sauce, the other is with gravy.
Restaurants have their own receipe, even though the main noodle is made of same buckwheat.
Here is one restaurant providing traditional way of cold noodles.
They only serve bowl of noodles with toppings and give the gravy and sause seperate.
